Kintamani is surrounded by the captivating nature and there are six ancient villages around cauldron of Batur Lake, which is often populated by “Bali Aga” – Balinese original people. Kintamani area is consisted by total if 10 villages, namely Kedisan village, Buahan, Abang, Trunyan, Songan, South Batur, Middle Batur, North Batur, Sukawana and Kintamani village. Kintamani is located in Kintamani sub district, Bangli regency and about 50km from Denpasar town or aboit 2 hours drive by car. All road to access this area are generally in good condition.
At late afternoon until night, fog will descend and covers the area of Kintamani, and the particulary cold temperature will drop even lower creating a calm and surreal atmosphere. The most amazing panorama at Kintamani can be seen in the morning, when the sunrise emerges on the horizon, clearly visible from the precipice of Mount Batur. Up the road heading north is a traditional market, which becomes very lively every three days on “Hari Pasah” in Balinese calendar. You can visit the market and buy variety of fresh produces and items from the surrounding mountain farms; from vegetables, fruits, flowers, dried fish, pots and baskets, plus a big clothing market.
